Alexandra Tse is a filmmaker and cinematographer based in Toronto. She is an advocate for the 2SLGBTQIA+, BIPOC and female filmmaking communities. Much of her current work focuses on telling stories of people from these underrepresented groups.
Alex’s work as a cinematographer has been recognized at festivals around the world and has been featured at TIFF, Hot Docs, Inside Out, Reel Asian and will soon be seen on Crave.
She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Film Studies from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), where she was the recipient of the Technicolour Award in Cinematography, and is an Affiliate Member with the Canadian Society of Cinematographers (CSC).
In addition to her work as a DOP, Alex holds the position of Vice-Chair on the Board of Directors of Breakthroughs Film Festival, the only festival in Canada dedicated to showcasing work by emerging women and non-binary directors.
